KOCHI: In Kerala, the concept outsourcing of advanced life-support ambulance service to hospitals has been initiated by Ziqitza Health Care Ltd (ZHL).
Most of the hospitals or healthcare institutions in the country are grappling with managing an ambulance fleet, which is a strategic need for a good hospital, said Praveen Menezes, Business Head – ZHL (Kerala operations). He further added, the situation is no different in Kerala. Under public private partnership model, for Kerala, Bihar, Rajasthan and Punjab, dial 108, is the emergency response service response initiative undertaken by the company, he summed up.
The company’s objective is to serve the need for maintained and well-equipped agility of ambulances in the state by hospitals. Today, Ziqitza, across India, has served over 15 lakh people; and is operating 860 completely sophisticated advance life-support ambulances. Life Supporters Institute of Health Sciences (LIHS), the International Training Centre of the American Heart Association (AHA), is wherefrom the crew of the ambulances was trained.
