YouTube beneficial for companies too: Google

BANGALORE: Companies could garner profit by using Youtube although it is predominantly used by music and movie firms in India and international.

Mr Nikhil Rungta, Country Marketing Head, Google India, said, “If you look at Khan Academy, set up by former investment banker Salman Khan, you can see the potential. I'm sure that some brilliant teacher will start it in India. If you look at products like smart phones, you have a lot of features today. You can use YouTube to give a demo.”

The Khan Academy has been started by the Bangladeshi American educator Mr Salman Khan. It has welcomed by Mr Bill Gates and Mr Mukesh Ambani for the content quality.

YouTube has been used by firms to connect with their customers.

Mr Rungta has stated that firms could use YouTube for direct link with customers, mainly in crisis.
