West Bengal govt may take action against irregularities in Housing Board

KOLKATA: The state government is planing to take action against the irregularities in the West Bengal Housing Board (WBHB), said State Housing Minister Aroop Biswas.

Reports suggest that certain constructions developed under JVC have collapsed due to the malpractices by promoters. This was one of the reasons why the flats could not be transferred to the allottees.

The department is investigating these cases and action would be taken against those involved in it. The department will be bringing few major policy changes to make WBHB more transparent in its operation.
