HYDERABAD: Vertex, a UK-based business process outsourcing solutions provider, has chalked out plans for expansion in India, which will be raising the firm's headcount from almost 5,000 now to over 12,000 people in the next one year. The firm is mulling to establish five more support centres in India.
Mr Keshav C Gaur, Managing director and CEO of Vertex Customer Services India, said, “We now have 12 support centres in India, including the recently commissioned facility in Hyderabad and plan to add five more centres by next year same time to support the company’s more than 25 existing clients, who continue to grow and also for some new clients. These clients span telecom, banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI) sectors, energy and other segments.”
While addressing the media here today along with Mr Gurpal Singh, Chef Operating Officer and Mr Sharad Sharma, Director of HR in India, Mr Gaur has stated that Vertex sees Indian operations rising in a significant manner during the year.
Mr Gaur has estimated that the Indian BPO sector is in for consolidation with the regional players either by merger or acquisitions.
