MUMBAI: Drug manufacturer Venus Remedies, has bagged a 'Silver Certificate of Merit' award in the Economic Times' India Manufacturing Excellence Awards (IMEA), 2011 recently held here.
The company emerged as winner for its unit based at Baddi, an industrial town in Solan district of Himachal Pradesh, on the basis of the assessments conducted at the site by the jury of Economic Times' IMEA 2011 in partnership with Frost & Sullivan.
IMEA confers awards to the companies having the best facilities in India and have achieved and sustained manufacturing excellence. In addition, it also honour dedicated, foresighted and diligent entrepreneurs working to develop a successful manufacturing organisation.
Amongst 103 shortlisted companies, 35 firms have bagged this prestigious award under various categories.
Apart from IMEA award, Venus Remedies has recently secured the prestigious LACP's (League of American Communications Professionals) Global Communications Competition, the '2011 Spotlight Awards' for its annual report and also bagged 'Patent Award' in Gold category by Pharmexcil (Pharmaceuticals Export Promotion Council).
