\NEW DELHI: V-Guard, the manufacturer of electrical and electronic appliances, has witnessed 70% rise in its net profit during the fourth quarter of the fiscal 2011-12 to Rs 19.17 crore as compared to the corresponding period last year. The net sales for the March quarter stood at Rs 276.46 crore, witnessing 25% jump from Rs 222.35 crore posted in the final quarter of the 2010-11.
The firm's overall sales growth is below its average year-on-year (y-o-y) growth rate for the past three quarters. It recently touched a new milestone of Rs 1,000-crore turnover.
Moreover, the sales turnover of the firm for the fiscal 2011-12 stood at Rs 1,006.53 crore, displaying rise of 36% as compared to Rs 737.47crore it posted in the previous fiscal.
The firm is mulling Rs 25-crore capital expenditure for the financial year 2012-13 which consists raising its wire plant capacity at Kashipur.
