DEHRADUN: The state government announced an action plan of Rs 51 crore with the aim tro computerise the public distribution system (PDS) and also to make sure ample supply of foodgrains and kerosene to beneficiaries.
Subhash Kumar, Chief Secretary, said that in the initial stages, Rs 10 crore would be released for the purpose of computerisation.
The ration cards needs to be prepared in the form of smart cards with the aim to control the circulation of fake ones.
