TTK Prestige's Gujarat unit to start operations during Jan 2013

CHENNAI: TTK Prestige, Kitchen appliances maker, has stated that its production unit established in Gujarat would start output in January 2013.

Last year, TTK Prestige inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Gujarat government for setting up a state-of-art facility at the capital infusion of Rs 125 crore to produce pressure cookers and kitchenware.

The company acquired 60-acres land near Vadodara. For the first quarter ended on June 30, 2012, the firm registered rise of 21.1% in net profit after tax rose to Rs 30.68 crore as compared to Rs 25.34 crore in the year-ago period.
