Tech Mahindra acquires Hutchison Global Services for $87 mn

NEW DELHI: Tech Mahindra, a software services player, purchased Hutchison Global Services (HGS) for $ 87.1 million (nearly Rs 484.03 crore).

Tech Mahindra said in a statement, “Tech Mahindra announces the acquisition of 100 per cent stake in Hutchison Global Services for $ 87.1 million, payable upfront.”

The purchase will offer considerable enhancement of Tech Mahindra's expertise in the customer management segment and also emerge as a key component of strategic plans.

Tech Mahindra will use the purchased capabilities and also widen the scope of the present services to other parts of the Hutchison group.

HGS offers customer lifecycle operations to the clients in UK, Ireland and Australia. It has more tha 11,500 employees and functions out of Mumbai and Pune.
