NEW DELHI: Solar Energy Centre (SEC), an R&D institution of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Government of India and Delhi Technological University (DTU) has inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for taking up joint research and education programmes in renewable energy sector.
The MoU has been inked by Dr Bibek Bandyopadhyay, Director, SEC and Prof PB Sharma, Vice Chancellor, DTU. The signing off ceremony took place in the presence of Gireesh B Pradhan, Secretary, Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.
SEC works for the development of solar energy technologies and practices. It contributes to the advancement of related science and engineering.
Delhi Technological University (formerly, Delhi College of Engineering) is a technology and engineering institute of India. A partnership of both the institutions is likely the cause of renewable energy in India.
The MoU is hoping to develop a Joint Academic Interface Committee (JAIC) which will lead to the implementation of the provisions of the MoU.
