NEW DELHI: Ratan Tata, the chairman of Tata group, has said that the prevailing self-criticism in India is adversely affecting the overall growth and development of the nation. Tata has said that looking at the rising number of corruption scandals in the rule of present government of India.
"I hope India will continue to prosper. I hope India will continue to make a name for itself with economic power. I hope it does not destroy itself with self criticism as it is happening at this particular moment. But, the future for India is great and it will continue to do well,” said, Ratan Tata, Chairman, Tata Group.
India has recently witnessed a sudden rise in the number of scandals under the government rule of United Progressive Alliance (UPA) in the country including Commonwealth Games 2010 scandal, 2G spectrum allocation scam and cash-for-vote 2008 scandal among others. However, Ratan Tata has issued this statement when its own company, Tata Teleservices, is allegedly involved in the 2G spectrum scam.
