AHMEDABAD: Rajasthan Spinning & Weaving Mills Limited (RSWM) may establish a yarn producing facility in Gujarat in the coming three years with the aim to raise its share in the area of fancy yarns for apparels, technical textiles, sewing threads, medical textiles and denim market in West India.
The company is part of the Rs 5,500-crore LNJ Bhilwara Group. It entered in the state with a yarn marketing office to further strengthen its foothold in the Gujarat market.
JC Laddha, chief executive - yarn business and executive director of RSWM, said, “We have been already supplying yarn to several clients in Gujarat including Arvind Ltd., Dinesh Mills and Soma Textiles. However, we intend to grow by more than 50 per cent in our business in Gujarat for which we have set up an office in Ahmedabad. However, in next three years we may set up a yarn plant in Gujarat.”
The top official also said that the firm has decided to invest about Rs 1,000 crore in the coming three years in different states such as Gujarat, Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh.
In Gujarat, RSWM did business worth Rs 100 crore in financial year 2011-12.
