Panacea signs strategic pact with US-based Osmotica Pharmaceutical

NEW DELHI: Drug company Panacea Biotec has inked a strategic collaboration with Osmotica Pharmaceutical with the aim to develop and market products in different international markets, consisting the US.
According to the partnership, Panacea will be leading product identification, research, development and production while US-based Osmotica will be looking after product registration, legal matters, sales and distribution.
Panacea Biotec Joint Manging Director Rajesh Jain said, “The collaboration is based on a 50:50 risk, investment and profit sharing by both companies and starts with a portfolio of 18 products across a broad range of therapeutic areas.”
The products that are part of the partnership agreement consist liposomes, modified release oral dosage forms and depot injections.
Panacea would get early research fee from Osmotica.
