CHENNAI: The second plant of the WABCO India Corporation that is a world-class manufacturing site has been inaugurated in Chennai’s Mahindra World City by investing a huge amount of Rs.50 crore. WABCO Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Jacques Esculier accompanied by Leon Liu, WABCO President, Asia to inaugurate the set up jointly.
The site will include each and every kind of innovative technologies and products to lead the manufacturing sector. It will also provide profitable vehicle producers in other countries, such as- Germany, Japan, Poland and the United States. Thus, it is aiming to hold a strong position in the international market. The latest 2272 square meter plant will recruit 160 people which will also include 30 engineers.
WABCO India possesses and controls 4 separate world-class manufacturing sites in this country as well. The company has mastered the construction of air-assisted and air brake systems and has established itself as one of the best suppliers in the field.
