No objectionable content posted on sites: Yahoo, Microsoft informs Delhi Court

NEW DELHI: Yahoo and Microsoft have informed a Delhi court that there is no defamatory material available on their websites as these social networking websites were accused of hosting objectionable content.

While both the firms have requested the court to dismiss the case against them as there has been no cause for action, but then the court had reserved its order till 2 pm.

The court has been hearing a petition of Mufti Aijaz Arshad Qasmi, who is an Islamic researcher linked to a website run by Islamic Peace Foundation of India. He had demanded the removal of objectionable content from the social networking sites.

In the past, Yahoo India had said that the suit as motivated.
