CHENNAI: Nissan India’s sales during October have risen more than one and a half times to 2,990 units with the help of its new Sunny sedan and the Micra small car. The Japan-based auto manufacturer has bagged orders for 2,000 units of the Sunny during the first six weeks after its introduction.
Meanwhile, the Micra premium hatch, which is also manufactured at its Oragadam plant with the Sunny, is still the top-selling model with sales of 1,619 units in the same month under review. The remaining numbers has come from the X-TRAIL lifestyle SUV, Teana premium sedan and 370Z sports car.
Mr Kiminobu Tokuyama, Managing Director of Nissan Motor India, said, “October’s sales are very encouraging and demonstrate the sustained progress Nissan is making within the Indian market.”
Moreover, Nissan has got 45 dealers all across India. It also offers the customers with round-the-clock help and along with a portfolio of customer care and service schemes consisting of extended warranty and roadside help for all its products.
