NEW DELHI: Nippo Batteries Company Limited reported lower net profit of Rs 1.9 crore for the quarter ended March 2012 as against Rs 3.3 crore for the three months period ended March, 2011, reporting a decrease of 43.95 per cent.
For the quarter under review, the total income of the company stood at Rs .731.1 million as against Rs 672 million for the previous year quarter, posting a increase of 8.79 per cent.
The earnings pert share (EPS) of the company stood at Rs 5.07 for the quarter ended March 31, 2012 as compared to Rs 9.04 for the quarter ended March 31, 2011.
For the full year ended March 2012, company's net profit stood at Rs 84.3 million as compared to Rs 146.3 million for the year ended March 31, 2011, representing a decline of 42.38 per cent. Total income was at Rs 3173.8 million for the year ended March 31, 2012 where as the same was at Rs.3234.2 million for the year ended March 31, 2011, representing a decrease of 1.87%.
