CHENNAI: Nichi-In Centre for Regenerative Medicine (NCRM) has announced to start its fourth batch of training programme on regenerative medicine (TPRM) from September 2011. Students doing research in stem cells and regenerative medicines will be eligible to take part in this programme.
The TPRM will include a number of wide-ranging lectures on the subjects like stem cell research, organ failure, knowledge transition, gene therapy, innovative technologies and ethical issues in the area of regenerative medicine. This program will be organised in association with four Canadian universities like McMaster University, University of Toronto, University of Western Ontario and University of Ottawa.
Dr Abraham Samuel, Managing Director of NCRM, has said that regenerative medicine is a fast growing branch of medicine that possesses sufficient potential to provide solutions to incurable diseases. He urged scholars to pursue scientific research in this area. NCRM has issued applications for interested eligible scholars to be enrolled in the fourth batch. The enrollment will remain open until July 31, 2011.
