NEW DELHI: National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC) has been paying dividend continuously for the fifth year to Centre. Dr HP Kumar, Chairman and Managing Director, NSIC, had presented a dividend of Rs 5.49 crore for the year 2010, to the Minister of Micro Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME), Virbhadra Singh on the occasion of the National Awards Function here yesterday.
NSIC has said that NSIC has crossed Rs 8000-crore turnover during 2010-11, posting 60% surge as compared to the previous year and it would be touching Rs 10, 000 crore during 2011-12.
Mr Virbhadra Singh has also congratulated NSIC. Mr Singh has stated that NSIC is a public sector undertaking (PSU) of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME) Ministry. It is involved in offering integrated support services to MSME sector via its numerous schemes under the marketing, technology, credit and other support services.
Just a few days back, NSIC had commenced a project of establishing a Business Park to help MSMEs here.
