NEW DELHI: The National Policy on Electronics will considerably strengthen all aspects of research and development (R&D) in electronic manufacturing, said Union Minister of State for Communications and Information Technology Sachin Pilot as he reviewed the IT projects in Kerala.
Pilot also said that Cabinet has given green signal to financial aid for the development of electronic manufacturing clusters and also the modified special incentive package scheme to lure fundings in electronic systems design and manufacturing.
He also said that Kerala has potential to lead in offering the proper ecosystem for luring fresh investments.
With the aim to ensure IT adoption percolates to all across government, all 2235 common service centres ( CSCs) have been made functional in Kerala.
The foundation stone for a new process laboratory for Advanced Electro Ceramic Materials at Thrissur was laid and this lab would be developed at the projected cost of Rs 3.5 crore.
