MUMBAI: Maharashtra auto unions has decided to go on an indefinite strike from April 16. The strike is for putting pressure on the state government to hike the minimum fare.
In the past, the state government planned to crack the whip on auto-rickshaws by making it mandatory for them to offer service to commuters on phone call.
Maharashtra has more than 600,000 auto-rickshaws, consisting almost 100,000 in the state capital itself.
