KBC Networks introduces PoE (Power over Ethernet)

CHENNAI: KBC Networks, an industrial transmission equipment provider, has unveiled PoE (Power over Ethernet) to its network transmission range. The first offering is 10/100 Ethernet media converter with PoE+ as it conforms to the higher power specification needed for PTZ and also dome cameras.

Taira Deuchars, Managing Director of KBC Networks EMEA, said, “We're seeing a significant increase in the demand for our industrial IP products, and continue to focus on expanding the breadth of IP offerings. In addition to new PoE units, we're working on expanding our series of Ethernet switches and refining our ThruLink? VPN device.”

The unit supports transmission of an Ethernet channel over either one or two multimode or singlemode optical fibers.
