BANGALORE: The state government has fixed an aim to secure nearly Rs 100 crore from the industries and also corporates by May in a bid to enhance the scope of the Yeshaswini health insurance scheme in Karnataka.
Minister for Cooperation B J Puttaswamy said that a meeting of key industries and corporates would be held soon as part of the generation exercise.
Moreover, there is a recommendation that firms be directed to pay 1% of their profits to the scheme and then it would be discussed with state Chief Minister Jagadish Shettar.
It is believed that contribution of 5% from MPs and MLAs local area development scheme to Yeshaswini is planned and it is expected that this initiative will secure nearly Rs 15 crore.
