BANGALORE: The state government has decided to establish a rehabilitation centre on 250-acre plot near Belgaum for HIV-AIDS infected children, said Medical Education Minister SA Ramadass.

Ramadass stated that 300 children have been selected so far and hoped the centre may become functional by next month.

The Minister has stated that 14 legislators have adopted HIV-AIDS affected children. Also, government is mulling to introduce a programme next month by which all the 300 legislators - 225 MLAs and 75 MLCs - would be adopting HIV-AIDS infected kids.

In fact, Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad has decided to offer five 'Red Buses' to Karnataka. These buses will house medical facilities, doctor and nurse. It would aim to offer door-step treatment to infected people.
