BANGALORE: Putting a full stop to its 11-month tenure as the state Chief Minister, DV Sadananda Gowda today quit paving way for Jagadish Shettar to take over. Accompanied by few Ministers, Gowda met state Governor HR Bhardwaj at Raj Bhavan and then submitted his resignation. Shettar has been elected as leader of the BJP Legislature party at its meeting held here yesterday.
Moreover, Chief Minister-designate Shettar met with state Governor and staked claim to form the Government. He is slated to be sworn in as CM tomorrow.
