MUMBAI: With the aim to bring improvement in combat capability, Tata Motors has given five mine-protected vehicles to Jharkhand police.
A statement from Tata Motors said, “Tata Motors has delivered 5 Mine-Protected Vehicles (MPV) to the Jharkhand Police force to bolster security preparedness. The Tata MPV will protect its occupants from threats like ambushes and sudden violent attacks, powerful explosive mines and heavy gunfire. The vehicle has high levels of mobility with combat survivability.”
The Tata MPV is based on modular flexibility and also integrates V-shaped hull blast protection technology, which is meant for security operations.
Recently, the auto major bagged order from Maharashtra State Police to supply 32 MPVs. With the aim to service these vehicles, the firm deployed dealer and service network in various inaccessible areas in Jharkhand.
