BANGALORE: The Indian IT major has started to strengthen its workforce as an overall of 23,000 employees are becoming part of the company from this month onwards.

The city-based firm gave offer letters to 23,000 people last year for joining work starting this month, said CEO and Managing Director SD Shibulal. These employees would be undergoing training for the first six months.

In the previous financial year ended March 31, 2011, the firm made gross addition of 45,605 employees.
