Infosys' independent director Sridar A Iyengar retires from board

MUMBAI: IT company Infosys has announced that retirement of Sridar A Iyengar from company's Board of Directors. He had served the company for over nine years.

In 2003, Iyengar had joined the Infosys Board and was also a member of the board of Infosys BPO since September 2004.

“Sridar has contributed immensely to the company's success. His thought leadership in the area of finance, risk management and governance has been extremely valuable,” Infosys Board Chairman KV Kamath said.

The retirement is in compilance with the company's policy of retirement (on attaining the age of 65 years) for the Board of Directors.

Earlier, Iyengar was a senior partner with KPMG in the US and UK and has held the position of Chairman and CEO of KPMG's operations in India for three years.
