India's milk producers need to unite against MNCs: Kurien

NEW DELHI: The milk producers in the country need to unite against the multi-national firms and opportunists who plant to destroy the cooperative institutes, said Mr Verghese Kurien, father of the white revolution in India.

While inaugurating the state-of-the- art whey powder plant at Kaira District Cooperative Milk Producer's Union Ltd's (Amul) satellite dairy in Gujarat, Mr Kurien stated, “ All milk producers should come together and unite against the foreign multi-nationals as well as those opportunists within the country trying to destroy the cooperative institutes.”

The milk producers has played a significant role in the development of the cooperative sector in teh country.
