NEW DELHI: The Indian knowledge services outsourcing sector is likely to reach $5.6-billion mark by 2015, stated a study from National Association of Software and Services Companies (Nasscom)- Credit Rating and Information Services of India Ltd (Crisil).
Mr Som Mittal, President of Nasscom, said, “The knowledge services outsourcing industry here is expected to grow at a CAGR of 22.2% over FY15 from $2 billion in 2010.” Internationally, the knowledge services landscape may surge from $2.9 billion in 2010 to $7.9 billion by fiscal 2015.
Reports suggest that North America is expected to continue to be the dominant sourcing destination with the help of its longer experience with services outsourcing. Its surging adoption across Europe and the Middle East regions will be supporting the industry further.
Moreover, business research may continue to be the most widely adopted serviceline with 39.4% share. The share of data analytics is likely to rise from 18.5% to 20.6%.
