By Songbedna Bauri: Infrastructure development in India needs push as a tool for strengthening demand and also to bring revival in the growth momentum, said Industry body Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).
It has been proposed to the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) for establishing an Infra Fast Tracking board to micro-track and also to solve the impediments project by project, said CII.
The announcement for the constitution of Project Clearance Board by the PMO for facilitating time-bound nods in Energy & Infrastructure sectors is a positive move and it is based on the lines of CII recommendations.
This institutionalised mechanism for giving nods in a time-bound manner on the lines of FIPB has potential to get rid of the hurdle of delays.
