Indian tourism sector to employ nearly 1-lakh youths in FY13

GURGAON: As the foreign tourists arrival is slated to rise dramatically, Centre will be offering jobs to one lakh youths in the tourism sector in the ongoing fiscal 2012-13.

This statement came from Sanjay Kothari, special secretary, Ministry of Tourism while he unveiled 'Incredible India golf caddy training programme' in partnership with the Ministry of Tourism at DLF Golf Course here.

In the previous fiscal 2011-12, the tourism ministry generated employment for 33,000 youths across India.

Moreover, an overall of 6.29-million foreign tourists visited the country during last year and Centre is mulling to double the figure in the upcoming five years.
