NEW DELHI: Indian Railways will raise the haulage charges for container train operators by nearly 30%.
Pawan Kumar Bansal, Railway Minister said, “There was a discussion with container operators. After the discussion, it has been decided to hike it in two stages — one in December and then again in February next year.”
The haulage charges, which container train operators pay railways for using tracks, will be raised in two stages.
For the past two years, the haulage charges was not revised.
