NEW DELHI: India exported $27.85 million worth bicycles during the April-October period of financial year 2011-12 as compared to $35.62 million registered in the financial year 2010-11. This was revealed by Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Jyotiraditya M Scindia in the Lok Sabha today.
During FY10, the cycle exports stood at $25.63 million and $37.16 during FY09.
With the aim to strengthen Indian exports consisting cycles, Centre has consisted many nations in Latin America, Africa and CIS regions in the Focus Market Scheme. Cycles have also been consisted in the other Special Focus Product List.
