NEW DELHI: The Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between India and European Union (EU) is likely to be inked by March next year. This FTA will be helpful in making the domestic players take up international best practices.

Once the FTA is signed, the need will move towards emphasising more on management and professionalism along with focus on training skilled labour.

Institutes like the NIFT (National Institute of Fashion Technology) and numerous other institutes providing courses on apparel technology so that the textile sector does not face labour crunch.

With the aim to meet the gap, Texport Syndicate, in association with the Indian Institute of Management (IIM)-Bangalore, has organised a three-day Management Development Programme for the employees of Texport. The company has decided to invest nearly Rs 14 lakh on the programme.
