India can raise bilateral trade with Pakistan: CII

NEW DELHI: It is possible for India to raise trade and investment with Pakistan, said Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) President Adi Godrej. The industry body had sent two important delegations to Pakistan and Japan.

Godrej said, “It is possible to increase trade and investment with Pakistan very considerably. Pakistanis are also very interested.”

He also said that Japan has displayed keenness to invest in India. CII has been working to bring improvement in the investment level. Also, the delegations would be visiting US, Britain, Latin America.

He accepted that the investment sentiment has been poor, mainly at global level and also called for bringing improvement via different measures.

Meanwhile, CII has unveiled 10-point agenda for reviving Indian economy and also demanding relaxation of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI).
