Impact Expo 2012 to be held in Mumbai from Sept 12-13

MUMBAI: The financial capital of India is slated to play host to Impact Expo 2012, which is scheduled to be held from September 12-13. This trade show will focus on responsible procurement, inclusive policies, sustainable partnerships and also eco-friendly practices.
 

The theme of the IndiaMART-partnered event is 'Partner for Purpose, Progress and Prosperity' and it aims to strengthen engagement between the corporate, government and development sector. The other partners of the event are GIZ, Cherie Blair Foundation, USAID SHOPS, Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA) Ashoka Changemakers, Shop For Change, TiE-TSS, AIAI, Nasscom Foundation, Samhita.

 

Karon Shaiva, Chief Impact Officer & MD of Idobro, the organiser of the event, said, “Just as private public partnerships changed the way infrastructure projects were executed, so too market based solutions will drive development projects and through that overall sustainability of our world. Every organization big or small, manufacturing or services have procurement, policies, partners and practices. Hence the RISE framework can be universally applied to formulate effective action for impact.”

 

This tradeshow will witness the launch of 'Made4Impact' catalogue that will aim to develop awareness about products and services of social and environmental importance.
