LUCKNOW: IIMs is planning to award degrees to its students soon by keeping difficulties faced by IIM graduates in pursuing future higher education in foreign countries. All these problems are happening due to the management diplomas awarded to them and to solve this problem, IIMs will soon award degrees to its students. The institute has state-of-the-art computing and class-room facilities, supported by an extensive library of books, journals, films and databases.
The Union HRD Minister, Kapil Sibal, at IIM Lucknow said “IIMs will be awarding degrees to IIM students in place of diploma. The attempt will increase their acceptability all over the world. ” Union HRD Minister also added that the modalities for this would be worked out soon.
Minister also said that in foreign countries the diplomas awarded now were not considered for pursuing research, etc.
