BANGALORE: iGATE has decided to invest $1 million to start a new unit in Loudoun County in Washington DC. This new facility will be developing 250 new jobs in the upcoming 2-3 years.
The rising visa costs and also access to government projects have helped iGATE to start a development centre in the US.
As this centre, the firm will design, build and also operate US Federal Government-related outsourcing projects. According to the company, it is their fourth facility in the US.
Timothy Coffin, President, iGate Government Solutions, said, “This facility enhances our ability to deliver top-quality, innovative IT solutions to our government customers.”
Firms like HCL Technologies is mulling to develop 10,000 jobs by 2015 in the US and European markets. TCS, Infosys and Wipro also enjoy presence in the US.
