'Hiring trends improves in Feb'

NEW DELHI: Hiring trends have improved considerably in the month of February, which was mainly driven by the retail segment, stated monster dot com, a job portal. Retail segment has registered good recruitment trend with the surging domestic demand, said monster dot com.

The Monster Employment Index India in February has indicated that the monthly online job demand has gone up at 116 as against 113 in the previous month. monster dot com Managing Director (India/Middle East/South East Asia) Sanjay Modi said, “More notable are the emerging recruitment trends in sectors like retail, which point to sustained improvement in domestic demand.”

In the February index, the retail sector has witnessed the highest rise in online job availability with 136 score, the same was at 130 and 125 for Oil/Gas/Petroleum, Power was at 130 and the BPO/ITES at 125.
