NEW DELHI: A meeting was held today by environment ministry on the notice issued to Jindal Steel, which threatens to revoke the environmental clearance given to the project.

The proposed project in Orissa was served the show cause notice by the environment ministry asking the promoter why the environmental clearance given to it earlier not be nullified for alleged misuse of forest norms.

The show cause notice was issued to the company for alleged violation of FC Act, 1980.
