CHANDIGARH: More than 67.66-lakh metric tonnes of wheat has come in the numerous grain markets of Haryana until now this season as compared to the net arrivals of 63.61-lakh metric tonnes last season.
In the year 2009-10, wheat arrival of 69.24-lakh metric tonnes has been witnessed in the state, stated Haryana's Food and Supplies Department. Until now, Sirsa district has been leading the wheat arrivals list, with more than 10.02-lakh metric tonnes has arrived in the mandis.
Out of the net arrivals of wheat, more than 67.62-lakh metric tonnes of wheat has been acquired by the government procuring agencies and the rest has been by the traders.
