NEW DELHI: The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) has gave its warning to the Central administration that any strong move to bring down the fiscal deficit may affect growth and employment generation in India. The fiscal deficit for the current fiscal is projected to slip to 4.8%.
Ficci secretary general Mr Amit Mitra, said, “ We hope to see something concrete in the forthcoming Budget for innovation and skill development, which is important for the country's economy growth.” Mr Mitra had further stated that the association do not oppose bringing down the fiscal deficit but then it should not be done aggressively.
