Govt adopts benchmarking findings of apparel industry in 12th Five Year Plan

NEW DELHI: The government has adopted the findings of a study of benchmarking of apparel industry carried out with reference to China and Bangladesh into the schemes of the 12th Five Year Plan.
The information was revealed by the Minister of State for Textiles, Panabaaka Lakshmi in a written reply in the Lok Sabha today.
The key findings of the study are improved statistical collection, strengthening export credit guarantee schemes, adherence to timely supplies, low power and labour costs.
