Speaking on the occasion, Solanki said, “The train is equipped with modern amenities and its coaches have some very special features for comfortable travelling.” The train will depart from Mumbai Central at 2.20 pm and reach Ahmedabad at 9.40 pm whereas on its return journey, the train will depart from Ahmedabad at 6 am and will reach Mumbai Central at 1 pm.
As per the Western Railways, the advanced suspension technology in this new service will provide comfortable and enjoyable journeys to the passengers. Having a seating capacity of almost 1500 passengers, it is the second double decker train introduced by the Indian Railways. Almost a month back, a double-decker air-conditioned train to Jaipur from Sarai Rohilla (Delhi) was introduced.
