Fabricated steel manufacturing begins in Karnataka

BANGALORE: The commercial production of fabricated steel has been started at Vijayanagar, Karnataka by JSW Severfield Structures and Severfield Reeve Structures. This is a joint venture company of India-based JSSL and UK-based JSW Severfield.

"With the commencement of commercial production of this fabricated steel plant at Vijayanagar in Karnataka, we have started a new phase for promoting the greater usage of structural steelwork in the country.The facility will provide customers with a total package from design through to erection on site," said, Sajjan Jindal, Vice-Chairman and Managing Director, JSW Steel.

The joint venture entails a future investment of Rs 100 crore over the next two tears.
