Consolidated Construction collaborates with Tamil Nadu govt

    CHENNAI: With the aim to set up a special economic zone(SEZ) on food processing, Consolidated Construction Consortium Limited (CCCL) has formed a joint venture with Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation.

    According to the joint venture, CCCL Infrastructure Ltd (CIL) would be responsible for providing the infrastructure facilities for the SEZ at an estimated cost of Rs 550 crore on the 425 acre land in Tuticorin district. The SEZ is expected to attract investments worth Rs 2,500 crore and offer employment to nearly 10,000 people.

    As of June 2010, the company has received orders Rs 4,500 crore which will be executed over a period of 18 months. Last month, this company had bagged orders worth Rs 1,218 crore.
