CHENNAI: Indian Pharmaceutical Manufacturers and Marketers Association (CIPMMA) claim a strong hold in the nine districts in southern Tamil Nadu in the fifth annual general body meeting of the association. The group has decided to extend its activities in the whole state by setting up organizational bases in the northern districts, mainly in Chennai.
A Kannan, the newly elected president of the Consortium said that the association’s member manufacturers-cum-marketers were previously associating with TN PMA whose 40 members attended in the AGM of CIPMMA.
CIPMMA has conducted its AGM in the state capital that includes drugs controller with the strong support of Chennai district committee. The group also elected a trader with strong base in the capital state as the new president. The Chairman of the Consortium, A Karunai Kadal said that CIPMMA will reach into an agreement with manufacturing companies for a trade deal which insists that the companies should not sell their products to any other parties such as stockists or wholesalers directly or indirectly.
