BSE Sensex opens 0.8% higher in early trade today

MUMBAI: The Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) Sensex jumps 0.8 per cent higher in early trade today. The higher opening in the market were led by the gains in Infosys, TCS and Reliance Industries.

The shares of major gainer Infosys were trading higher by 4.9 per cent at Rs 2,627 in opening trade today following registering a 10.7 per cent jump in its quarterly profit.

At 9:18 AM, the 30-share BSE index was up by 0.8 per cent at 16,670.16 points on the gains of share's rise in RIL trading higher at 0.6 per cent, Infosys Ltd was up by 4.6 per cent and shares of TCS Ltd jumps 2.6 per cent.

In the similar fashion, the broader 50-share National Stock Exchange (NSE) index was trading higher by 0.8 per cent to 5,016.60.
