NEW DELHI: BHEL, an engineering major, is mulling to establish a new production unit in Maharashtra for which it would be investing Rs 159 crore.
BHEL is mulling to have 90,000 tonne capacity production facility of seamless tubes products in Maharashtra.
Although, it is in the early stages, BHEL will be investing Rs 159 crore to strengthen tubular products available in the western region, where the need is going up.
Due to the transportation problems across India, the location of the new facility has been chosen near Nagpur on easy access to prominent steel facilities such as Bhilai and Rourkela.
